why not many turbo charge car in middle east?

is it the maintenace here do not have sufficient good mechanic and expensive?

or the turbo engines cannot withstand the climax here?

almost sport cars and sport trucks here depend on big cc engines.

love and miss my cefiro with nissan rb26dett & my 1998 530 BMW with toyota 2JZ-GTE at my hometown. They launch & scream like rocket.

I had owned a heavily modified Supra before coming to Qatar. The very very few examples of modded cars I have seen here have been imported that way, after talking with the owners. That said, I wouldnt trust a single mechanic to work on that kind of car in Qatar. You just dont see anyone with that kind of experience here. I dont know of a single shop with a Dynojet or any setup for tuning a forced induction engine.

And to the guy who mentioned a list of turbo cars, those are factory turbo'd and pretty Zzzzzz... I am pretty sure the OP is talking about 500+HP aftermarket kitted, fuel system, cams, induction, bottom end, etc tuned cars. There are 2JZ-GTE engines out there running 1500+HP. That entire scene is, sadly, just completly nonexistant here in Qatar.

I had never heard of mods being illegal, but if true that would explain a lot.

yes there are so many expensive factory fitted turbo charge cars here, but compare with it price we can get 20s of my cefiro rb26dett or bmw 5 series 2JZ-GTE..

in other hand, both of these twin turbo beast can blast off with double or tripple thrills compare with that expensive 'animals'

If Ferrari had its way they'd probably pull out their cars here because they're running below it's minimum speed limit. All sound and fury and nowhere to go!

Many turbocharged cars are available in Qatar.

Mitsubishi Evo, Saabs, Volvos, Porsche, BM M3, M5, Nissan Skyline etc. etc.

But it is illegal to fit turbo to stock vehicles.

Engine tuning/modifications are illegal.

But I think chip tuning is ok.
