Spiderman to climb Torch Tower

The legendary Alain Robert, a French skyscraper climber nicknamed “The Spiderman”, will climb The Torch Doha Hotel Tower for the first time on April 12. Robert is currently preparing for the ascent and will scale Doha’s highest building without a safety rope and harness.

Can't wait to see this. The last time, Rizks tried to clmb the Doha Rabbit and got his lungi caught in the torch. Not a pretty sight :O(

But I can't help but wonder,whenever I hear/read of such stunts, that surely there has gotta be more to life than this? I mean is all this attention and publicity really worth risking your life for? If so aren't there less riskier ways to gain fame,thrills and adulation?For some souls,I guess not!

however it depends on the classification, as the torch tower=aspire tower is not a building but a structure, and some building in the west bay may rightly claim it is the tallest building, and at the same time another one claim being the highest appartement buiding, or office building...
question, is aspire really the tallest, I would have thought some office block in westbay was taller??

Death defying athlete TB will enter the elevator unaided, correctly select the appropriate button, stand clear of the viscous doors that could take a mans arm off, endure the crushing G Forces as the elevator ascends, and using his superior intellect, step out of the elevator on the correct floor.
First races up the stairs, now climbing up on the outside. Duh!!! Take the blooming elevator. How hard can it be?
