Hi everyone Im moving to Qatar in August and was hoping to set up a Muay Thai Kickboxing club as I teach back here in Australia. I was wondering if anyone was interested in learning. Im not sure on what i can charge there and also where I can teach if at all im aloud to teach... Im hoping someone may have some input into that for me. Any help would be much appreciated, Be great to meet people when i am there.

I mean at you house/ villa/ flat , if you have a extra room or so and nobody can say anything. My son goes for private lessons at somebody's house , he got some outside space and they to the lessons there

as for private, you just need a place , that's it, no business partner , just a place .....sponsor has nothing to do with this

I would love to learn too - there is not much in the way of martial arts for women here so it would be great to be able to do it regularly. Let me know if you start anything up when you arrive

yes, they make it kinda hard , for such things , but maybe things work out good for you. you could also go "privat" and just give classes at your place , if you have the set up.

Thanks for your reply, I guess i will have to see when I get over there. Like you said the hardest part is finding a Qatari partner ..... Wish it was so much easier hehehe

as for the charge , 300 QAR seems to be the going price for clubs members , hope that helped a little

my sons would want to do kick boxing for sure. And as I can see a lot of people over here are interested in martial arts. So you will have enough people coming the problem over here is , to find a place/ gym to set it up ,the prices are very high for rent.

Also you will need a Qatari as a business partner, which is a major task on it's own ...
