Ireland exit unfair - Egypt exit undeserved

As a Barcelona fan, I naturally like Terry Henry, but yesterday, I was heartbroken when I saw how a brave, courageous, active and heroic Ireland team beat the crap out of the French chickens (not cocks) yet got eliminated by the cheating hand of Henry!

Ireland with plenty of chances to have sealed qualification to South Africa, had to exit the stage with a shameful double hand ball from the french attacker, questioning the FAIR PLAY slogan that FIFA shows in every match played internationally.

An additional two referees in each game?
Why wait until the next European under-21 championship?
When will teams like Ireland feel that they were justifiably eliminated?
Does FIFA forget the hand of Maradona that sent England back home when they probably had the best squad they could arrange in decades?

My heart is with the Irish, and I can only say: raise your heads up high, because you won your honor... something that Henry may never have after his hand-crime!

======================================================

In another World cup qualifying match, Egypt took possession of the match with Algeria, showing what side really wanted to play and attack, instead of ruining the game, settling for counter attacks and wasting time in such a disgraceful manner, as the Algerian team did.

Unfortunately, one defensive slip-up and the Egyptian dream came to an end...

So that I don't flair up any situation, I will only say that Egypt's elimination was undeserved.

As for Algeria, I can only wish them well, but they will have to do a million times better than that if they actually want to do something in the world cup. It was a totally crappy match from them!

The only thing keeping spectators from sleeping was the Egyptian efforts until the end...

Everytime I see the goal that France scored, it keeps getting worse.. What in the he*l was Henry thinking..

I loved watching the Irish play in 2002 and was hoping they will make it again in 2010 but unacceptable officiating has stopped them. They did play an amazing game of Football though...

Moreover, now that I've seen the foul that led to the goal being taken by the French from another angle, THE PLAY IS A CLEAR OFFSIDE!

Not one, but two french players are offside!

Then the double hand-ball!!!

BTW, I'm not crying for any team, I'm just lamenting that yesterday, the biggest loser was SOCCER it self!

Egypt played better, played to win and played as a team.

Algeria did nothing to show they deserve to qualify, but they did and that's soccer!

Having different opinions does not mean we fight each other or have to end up with a quarrel...

Obstacles are what you see when you set your eyes off the goal.

It was indeed heart-breaking for the Irish but they could have sealed the game long back, Keane, Duff and O’Shea missed such Golden chances. Awful official to allow that goal to stand by France.

It's about time the football autorities arrived in the current century and adopt the technologies available and used regularly and succesfully in other sports- cricket and rugby being examples.

It is a shame to see such highly paid supposedly professional athletes resort to cheating and it sends a competely wrong signal to children growing up and idolising them.

Ireland's exit was unfortunate, but Egypt lost and deserved to be out.
