Hi Ann and Samia. Qatar sport club is the place for playing tennis not only for males that includes children girls woman or ladies. i myself a beginner player too playing at category C the lowest one. every year i used to join tournament with my levels atleast 3 or 4 times a year. for now the QTF is bit bz they dont accept bookings since the Sony ericson championship is on its way. after the said event the court will be free except for the center court. for the new court they charge for only Qrs 45.00/hour the (purple court) the green court its only 25.00/hour and its fun to play mix double. enjoy!

Life in Doha is not boring as long as you handle things right. Been here since 1987 and I witness Doha from the very start. Tennis is the only sport that let our time pass very quickly. Once you are into this sport you will be smart and healthy forever.
Good evening avoicemale, thanks for your reply with my sms. maybe some other time we could play, when your working time changed from night to morning shift.
btw.. i just played with Mr. lee (korean) in khalifa stadium, this is my 1st time to play there, quite nice court, the fee is 45qr an hour.
doha is not at all a boring place - there's plenty to do out here, new skills to learn , new places to visit, new cultures to acculturise youself to- which is what life is about.
Most days I find I have so much to do that I can't even sit down and watch TV or have too little time to sleep.
There's swimming , physical fitness classes, office work, cooking, teaching children, looking after my cat and so much more that I do.
You will find that in Winter you can do even more.
So just keep your eyes and ears and mind open and there are opportunities galore out here.
i am new here in qatar as well. to be honest, i find this place very boring as i came from dubai and stayed there for 5 years. could you help me how to get started with tennis?
