Hello everyone, next month I will start living in Doha with my husband, he is an italian professional table tennis player and he islooking for a place where he can continue with his training. We asked at the Aspire academy and at a few sports clubs but they told me that they are accepting only Qatari players.
Please, if anyone know any information, please let me kow! Thank you!
If you find any place where the players play regular, please let me know also, I am a normal player if you want me to join you temporarily may be I can be good partner for time being if you want me to join you can call or sms me at 5539416 or mail me at [email protected]. Thanks,
Go to the sports clubs. They've some of the best coaches.
Check Qatar Sports club, Al Saad club, Al Rayyan club. They frequently have interclub matches and are usually on the lookout for good players to train and play for them.
I had played for Qatar sports club from 1998-2002 after which I left for my tertiary education.
I am afraid you can't find much help here. The country you come from(France) has produced some of the finest of players like Jean Phillipe Gatien & Jean Michael Saive. So if you have played anywhere near pro standard in France, you are far superior than the best of the players here in Qatar. It will be very difficult even to get a practice partner who can match upto your expectations in Doha. But I have heard that there is a small camp in Aspire Academy having Swedish or European coaches who cater for the Qatar national team. You can make some Inquiry about that at Aspire Academy.
