Hi everyone. I'm moving to Qatar quite soon and I was just wondering if any of you could give me a bit of information. Is it possible to play football regularly in Doha. Are there any teams to join / Amature leagues /5 a sides etc?I would really like to keep playing when I get there!!!

Thanks in advance for any information any of you can give me. Alan

Acai Berry

Acai Berry Qatar

Acai berry is the “Superfood” of the Amazon. The fruit is grown in the tropical rainforests of the Amazon. The fruit is delicious to eat and hence is a good trap for all those who taste it once. The yummy taste leads to over eating of the Acai pure. Though this is not bothersome, one needs to know more about the possible effects of the overeating of the Acai pure.

Football stars in Qatar are vouching for this kind of stuff all the time now. Batistuta and DeBoer were in an advert for this company recently.

Hi Desertdog, thanks for the info about the football team. That sounds great, a social team in an amature league is exactly what im looking for. Il be arriving second week in August. Will the league still be going then? Also are the games played every weekend?

desertdog whats the standard of the league like? I'm a keen footballer and would be interested in playing a bit of 11 a side, although I haven't played competitively since I was a teenager.

Even if you could forward a bit of info it would be greatly appriciated!

there is an 11 a side amateur league here which is played mainly on an astro turf pitch at CNAQ university.

let me know when you'll be in qatar as there are still games left and my team is always open to new players....we're unofficially known as 'the social team' so you may or may not enjoy!

PM me if ur coming over and interedted or want more info

Ah I see!!! Well hopefully theres a large public park / grassy area and I will just have to organise weekly football kickaround myself??

I hear theres quite a few British people in Qatar so Id hope I could at leat find 10 people intersted in forming a weekly 5 a sides of my own lol !!

Thank you very much for the information.

here they dont have enough public football fields. There is one in aspire which is very big,but not full grass. If u want to rent a full grass field,it will cost u at least a thousand riyals!I think u can join any club. If you are really good, they will pay you....gud luck..
