FC Barcelona to play friendly in Qatar
Barcelona will travel to Qatar to play a friendly match on February 4, 2015.
The Spanish side's opponents have not yet been disclosed, but the match will definitely go ahead under Barca's contractual obligations to Qatar Sport Investments.
The fixture will take place just three days after a home league game against Villarreal, while the Catalan outfit will travel to Athletic Bilbao just four days after competing in Qatar.
The Spanish giants were supposed to play a friendly exhibition match in February of 2014. However, Barcelona management decided to postpone the event as the fixture would "coincide with the only rest days the first team has before the most intense part of the season."
It is currently unclear what sort of team head coach Luis Enrique will select for the non-competitive match.
