2010 Qatar International Rally

Hi to All,
As some of you might know that there will be a pretty good event this weekend in Doha. These events are made for spectators but as usual it is not anounced properly.
The event is is going to be held around Al Wakra instead of Losail this year. Competitors will be coming from all over GCC region for 2010 International Championship. For the ones who would be interested to watch below is the very general map for day 1(friday).
i tried to get more info from qmmf but i am told that the spectator packages are not ready.(suprising, rally starts tomorrow). As a rally fan i am trying to do a very small support to make this sport expand and see more people at the stages.
it is a bit hard to follow a rally but the stages are near each other so it wont be challanging as in Europe. Hope to see everyone at the stages and enjoy.

1 - store the pictures in any of the websites used for that purpose such as photobucket.com

2 - use html codes to post them here. i cannot write the whole code in 1 line otherwise it wont appear. i will write the code here with each symbol in 1 line. all you have to do is to type the entire code in one line with no spaces between characters (except between img and src and just before width="350") and replace style="display: block"> width="250px" height="100%" alt="" /> , with the picture address (url), keeping the " ".

Now here it goes:

<

img src=

" style="display: block"> width="250px" height="100%" alt="" />"

width="350"

/

>

for the size of the comment's box, its advisable you restrict the photo size and that's why I added

width="350"

hope it helps!

Here is an example. I choose a picture already available on line with the following url: "

...unless our experience involves Qatar itself ;)

exactly. On the other side you can never rely on your experiences when the subject is Qatar.

cankamci,

That’s naturally predictable.

I was asking about the authorities preventive actions as required in such occasions (in other countries anyway).

So it means, we should expect the usual chaos!

i dont know but No need. it is a ceremonial start to take attention. they will only park there to take attraction. only jam can be created by the people who stops in the middle of the road to see whats going on.

cankamci,

Thanks for the info.

Does that mean that there will be traffic diverted at the Corniche tomorrow?

Dear sector chief, i should have said "The Event" starts tomorrow with the ceremonial start at the corniche at 15:30. Who ever want to see the cars who will race can attend to the ceremonial start but the action will be at the special stages which are on 21 & 22 Jan.

Organizational skills Qatari style - nobody never know anything... until the event has passed (almost unnoticed)!

You say that the event is NOT going to be held in Losail but instead somewhere near Al Wakra, however you posted a map from Losail!!!!!!!!!

O_o
