I was planning to go to Saudi for Umrah with my family in the month of July. After completing all the required formalities like Extension and re-entry visa for my mother -She is on a Visit Visa. I came to know from 2 travel agents that the saudi embassy are not issuing Umrah Visa for travel by Air but umrah visa for journey by agents Bus or private car is allowed.

Can somebody advise if that info is correct. If yes, then what are the other options available to go for Umrah?

If I would be your position, I wud take by road visa, drive till dammam and then fly, Its much cheaper and from here to dammam is few hours drive.
