I'm planning to go to Greece for 5 days holiday particularly in Athens. I'll be thankful if anyone would give me advice on how to arrange my travel plans, or anyone have been to Greece, pls. give me an idea on purchasing tickets, arranging tours for myself or getting the help of a travel agent. Thanks in advance.

Been there few years back, as soon as you check-in in your hotel, ask the hotel concierge for Tour details. Usually a tour bus pick-up tourists from several hotels early in the morning for the day tour, have to book in advance.

I flew to Athens from Doha last summer. Booked my tickets on line with Gulf Air and it cost approximately 2500 QAR. Left Doha around 08:00 (ish) landed in Athens (via Bahrain) at around 14:30 if I remember correctly.

Coming home I took off from Athens around 13:00 landing in Doha sometime around 23:00.

Easy enough journey and no problem to arrange.
