Taxi stands at malls

It's a very simple question:

How does one get a cab once done at the mall????

I mean is this even happening?

You walk out from a respective gate and you're directed to another one and another one....

You expect to see some signage, which obviously isn't to be found because there isn't one!!!

You see people chasing cabs and the cabbies pretending to be deaf and blind and in certain cases if need arises DUMB too!

So what does one do??

Viper, I have seen lines of taxis at Lulu, C4 and Safari main gate, while a lot of guys doing private taxi service asking for passengers at the main gate exit. Please let us all be aware of the Mall, that has a taxi problem so we can be prepared.

Britexpat, I drive and have my own car, years earlier, driving took hardly 3 to 5 min from home (Old Airport) to (Old) Airport, depending on the crowd at the signals. However, while personally travelling taking a taxi and return when coming back to Qatar, years back going would cost hardly Qr.7 to Qr.8 (so you can image the distance) returning was a different story. Later it was Qr.35.00 one way going or coming, my point being, rates are unbelievable here.

Works both ways . Lots of passengers want to take a ride and pay peanuts

There is another problem too. They simply refuse short-distance passengers. They would rather run around for hours looking around for a long-distance passenger than earn whatever is coming in by picking up a short-distance passenger.
