Overnight Desert Safari.

This is just a quick survey. I am thinking of organizing a overnight Desert Safari on the 15th of May, 2009.
I’d like to know how many people will be interested in joining. Keep in mind this is Only for Families / Couples and not restricted to just the QL social group. This will be a great opportunity for everyone who are not part of the QL social group and feel left out from all the great events we had before.

I will need a min of 30 to 50 people to show up as it will be a desert DJ party. The Day will be as follows:

Meeting point and time will be between 2.00pm to 2.30pm at a location that will be given out later only to the people that sign up for the safari. By 3.30pm we will be at sea line, where you will be assigned a 4x4 car with driver of course. From there we start the dune bashing, and head over to the Saudi boarder, to watch the sun set and u can click pics if you like. Then we head over to the camp site, will reach there at around 8.00pm, where you are free to party till the break of dawn…well not really, but I think they will start the Dj music from 10.00pm till 2.00am or 3.00am.The camp site is close to the beach so if anyone would like to take a dip in the sea you are welcome. You will be served Bbq dinner buffet style. You are free to bring your own “colored juice” if you like, but its your own responsibility ;) Bring your own Sheesha/Argile, coals will be provided. Tea/coffee will be provided too.

The Safari ends the next day at 9.00am where you will be served breakfast, and you go home with lots of memories..Good ones I hope :p

So a break down of what is included in this package.
Overnight desert safari starts on 15th May,2009 at 2.00pm till next day 16th May, 2009 at 9.00am.
Dune bashing/Site seeing/Games/Camel Ride/BBQ Dinner/Breakfast/Live Dj music/Dance/Beach.
Price: QR 450 Per head – Adults. Qr 300 for Kids up to the age of 10 yrs.

Now the most important thing is the more the people the less we’ll be paying, so If I can get around 30 to 50 people I can get a discount. So now first I’d like to know how many people are interested in this.
Just post up if you would be interested and how many people, so I can have a count, final details and info will be given out later :)

Ello Everyone :)

Ok just to be sure now how many would like a over night desert trip if it was to take place on a Thursday? That means we'll all be returning back on Friday. I can try to nego the trip for may be 350 per head for the over night then hmmm?

Chichi: I found out with Regency travels, as we had gone with them before and we really enjoyed the experience, very professional and entertaining compared to the other company that had taken us before.

Fefee: Will let everyone know if its going to be Full Day or Over night with final prices later on as I still feel a over night trip to the desert would be a even better experience for all. It will be more relaxed and not hurried to end and drop us all back within the given hours.

Also the Dj last time played a mix of Arabic/Indian/English songs so everyone enjoyed, i have no clue who the dj was and i dont care as long as there is music :p

So i feel if we can get the whole experience for Qr.350 then its worth it. Some people might say they finish work off late on Thursday etc, well still as of now i want to know how many folks really want to do this, if we are a big enough group to go (30 people min) we can arrange the timings accordingly to suit everyone. Like just meet at around 5 or 6 in the evening and go straight to the camp for the desert party, and then the next morning after breakfast start the dune bashing and return home.

If this doesnt work out at all then it will be the Full Day trip on a Friday, it will be fun for those who have never been on a desert safari before, might not be all that appealing to those who have. Hence a over all experience of everything thrown in together for the overnight safari :)

Post up folks, need to see more names.

My family would love to join on this-we are an outdoor, daring family, so this is a cup of tea for us; we have camped in the wild African jungle with our son when he was only 19 months old.

We also camped in AL fuleiyah depression with our young boys early this year (3 yrs.and 5 months); the night sky was awashed with stars, amazing, and they were all around us and seemed so near! The boys loved it. count us in!

Bring your son,. feefe-he will be thrilled.

Hmm well so far looks like no one is up for the overnight thing. So let me work on a full day trip instead. A full day trip would be from 2.00pm till 10.00pm. And we can make it for a Friday :)

Look its dune bashing...the cars are gonna be going up and down on DUNES!! i really dont know how anyone would manage kids below 2 yrs. So please its not the best thing to think about as safety is also to be taken into consideration, we want to have a good time not scare the little ones :p

Franz last time i went for one of these there were loads of kids having loads of fun and the music didnt bother them as they were busy playing with the other kids, sand boarding...not something i'd recommend for us adults lol :p

Feefee, as i mentioned before, i wouldn't recommend bringing a baby that small for dune bashing, however loulsy's sister took her baby along and she's just over a year old, i think, and she was a brave little angel :)

Ok so again let the head count begin...Full Day Desert Safari...i cant edit the original topic so tomorrow after i find out details i'll post a new one. Yallah people show some spirit :)
