You can bring him out by submitting your passport as a Gurantee. From our experiance it was done long years ago for others I dont know.

scan your passport, rp imp. pages as well as a letter establishing the link between you & the gentlemen & mail it to him. ask your friend to take print-outs of the same. he needs to secure a transit visa from the qatar mission in usa before embarking on the journey to doha. check on the internet about the places in usa where qatar has missions. he needs to go there in person & secure the transit visa. show the print-outs if asked. also he needs to tell the airline that preferably he will break journey for a day or two, whatever is max permissible by qatar law. worth trying. without a transit visa impossible!

I don't think it's possible. Recently, I had same situation where my firend was travelling from London to India via Doha. But unfortunately I was unable to meet him. Bcoz he could not come outside the immigration area.

Its impossible for you to meet him inside or outside the airport unless he has a transit visa. There are no chances for a transit pax to cross the emigration without a visa to enter QATAR. If he has an American passport he can get a visa on arrival. For more info check with the emigration authorities.
