Museum of Islamic Art Cafeteria (Bad)

Just took my family to MIA on the Corniche.
The cafeteria is well overpriced, but thats not the worst part. The food is really bad.
I can only say that it is such a dissapointment, when I see what the Western World offer at their Museums in terms of food and beverage.

Bad bad bad. Keep away, just ripping people off.

QR 98 for
Ice tea Drink
Ciabata Sandwitch (Bad)
Club Sandwitch (tasted like the cardboard box it was placed in)
Bag of Crisps

Thats approximately just less than £20. Its crazy.....

Anyway just some advice

Take your own food & beverage...

Very overpriced cafe, but I love the museum. Best to tour after having had a good lunch elsewhere.

anyways...if you wanna have a good club or sandwiches..just go to the subway. Just have some snacks before you're going to MIA. Don't just pay watever crossed you eyes.

I suppose they are also including the entrance fee along with the price of the snacks and drinks though it says entry is free and that maybe one reason for the high prices

I was there just awhile back myself, and must say I too found the place really overpriced to say the least. We tried some of their iced and hot bevarages, and whilst they were of ok quality, the price was just sky high! Which is truly a pity cos the surrounding is just so amazingly picturesque, specially given how the weather is. Hope the park authorities allow more places to open up over there.. anyplace where you don't need to pay an arm and leg to enjoy a day out with family!
