Katara Launches Online Directory
Katara has launched an online portal, qatarspots.com, which compiles and categorizes all the places in Qatar related to everything from entertainment to education, easing the process of decision-making for tourists as well as residents.
The website is essentially the first online map directory thats provides a listing of places, as well as a map to each and every location.
Qatar Spots is founded by Faissal Alhaithami, a Qatar University graduate and Social Media Specialist for Katara.
“We first came up with the idea of launching this website as Qatar has been attracting people from all over the world who need to have an accurate guide that provides all data they require," Alhaithami told The Peninsula.
The site lists a wide range of services such as restaurants, hospitals, transportation options, and embassies.
As Qatar continues developing, establishing new venues, and as the number of tourists continues to grow, websites like these will increasingly be needed for those new to the country.
