if you have all your documents ready, all you need to do is pay the fee at any CBQ branch and include the receipt no. in your forms. The receipt copy (pink and yellow) needs to be attached to your docs.
you have the option of choosing your interview schedule depending on the free slots available at the US embassy website.
upon completion of your interview, that same day you will know if your visa to US is approved, they will ask you to leave your passport with them and take it after 3 working days.

Visa applicants between the ages of 14 and 79 must be interviewed in person by a U.S. Consular Officer. Children aged 13 and under do not neet to come to the U.S. Embassy. Applicants for visas should generally apply at the American Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over their place of permanent residence. Although visa applicants may apply at any U.S. consular office abroad, it may be more difficult to qualify for a visa outside your country of residence. For example, those applying at the U.S. Embassy in Doha should be Qatari citizens or hold legal Qatari residency and be able to demonstrate strong economic, familial and/or social ties to Qatar. All non-Qatari citizen applicants must have residency permits that extend through their anticipated dates of travel.
Steps in the Application Process:
1)Get the FORMS.
2) Get your PHOTO.
3) Pay the FEE.
4) Gather your DOCUMENTS.
5) Get an APPOINTMENT.
6) Go to your INTERVIEW.
7) Application CHECKLIST.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Starting on January 21, 2007, ongoing road construction projects on 22 February Street will further limit access to the U.S. Embassy in Doha. 22 February Street north of Immigration Roundabout to the U.S. Embassy remains closed, as does the section of 22 February Street north of the U.S. Embassy to Al Sudan Roundabout. Access to 22 February Street from Al Jazira Al Arabiya Street from Jasim Bin Mohammed Street will also be blocked at this time. All construction activity, its impact upon the road network, and accessibility to the Embassy is subject to change with little to no advance notice.
The parking area for U.S. Citizens and visa applicants will be closed to accommodate the new construction for approximately one to two months. However, the south bound lane of 22 February Street (the lane nearest the U.S. Embassy) will be closed to general traffic to provide a limited parking lane for U.S. Citizens and visa applicants. Several routes to the U.S. Embassy remain open, but U.S. Citizens and visa applicants should plan sufficient travel time to the U.S. Embassy to arrive on time for U.S. Citizen Services or for a visa interview appointment.
The embassy is located next to the EMS English Modern School. From the Sports round about near Grand Regency, you go towards Al Masila petrol station traffic light and take a right turn, continue straight from the round about and you will get to a U-turn, take the U-turn and then the first right turn, keep going straight until you see the American Flag, thats the embassy of USA. The visa takes minimum of 2 weeks with all the investigation and other processes.
