Dangerous & very tiring... Usually people drive out in a 4WD rather dan a sedan (not tht i am sayin, people dont...) B/w... How old r des children of urs? Wudnt u rather look at the safer side and drive out in a 4WD. Its neva hurting 2 know tht u do look at safety... Happy journey...!!!

Keep on attempt in UAE embasy in Doha (Diplomatic area). I got in fifth attempt 8 years ago and I travelled in Honda civic (1994 model).
Going by Carolla is not bad.
Drive safely with in speed limits.
UAE border to Abudhabi road especially after Ruwais look-out for sand accumulation in the main highway itself. Keep very close watch.
Every 200-300Km give rest to your self and car 10-15 min will do.
Get a decent street map of UAE in order to not to get lost in looooong waiting traffic jams. Plan and drive. Avoid rush hours.

Car travel is one of the main reasons for all those LandCruisers you see all around Doha.
I think above person is right....
but accidents will happen in 4wd as well.
i think Corolla is the best car for travelling,,,, because you have a small family,
but you have to make sure that your car is fully OK & have a good condition to travel ,,,
& then you will go,,,
