hi i just got my visa from the german ambassy.

u have to bring all ur papers(1) personaly (2) to the german ambassy BEFORE 11:00. the german ambassy is near bin omran going toward sport round-about to the right.

fees of 310 QR

10 to 15 days for the visa

than after those 15 days u can collect ur visa and passeport between 13:00 and 14:00 SHARP!

i was there at 12:54 and waited in the sun till 13:00!!

1-if not in person, u have to have a written permission to the agent doing the work for u.

2-papers needed can be known on the ambassy web-site

mainly include:

- passeport

-qatar stay for more than 3-6 months

-3adam moumana3a or no objection letter

- kayd el mouncha2a or the company license

- plane and hotel reservations or invitation letter

-bank account statement detailed for the past 6 months.

inside, u'll sign papers stating ur not lying, countries u lived in, and a third stating ur not going to blow urself overthere in Germany (no military or past terrorist activity or membership)

personal opinion:

having said that i like to point at the fact that although the emplotees r very nice and cooperative, i did feel like i was treated as a terrorist untill proven otherwise!

passing through metal detector, speaking to people behind glass, being lebanese and even the mentioning of lebanon and qatar on the black list countries like afghanistan!! overall a negative impression, and i don't know if other western ambassies (in QATAR! for God sake) do the same precaution mesures, but i don't think i'll choose germany for my next summer vacation.
