Driving to Riyadh, Saudi...
It is my dream to drive to Riyadh taking my 13 year old daughter who was born there and meet a few friends who are still there.
Is it possible? How many hours drive? The board on which is written KSA, tempts me. But I want to make it an easy trip for the family... Please advice...
first you have to get your visa from Saudi Embassy through service offices, it is so easy trip, it is 100 Km to Qatari Borders, then 450 KM form Borders to Riyadh, I have been there last April, it was a nice trip, Just take care of Al-Houfouf Area because it is a sandy area and sometimes vision is difficult so you should comply with the limited speed, and don't miss any petrol station because it is long distance between them.
very important note:- avoid driving late evening it is open dessert otherwise you might be attacked by dangerous bandits, I didn't experiences something like that but always read about it in news paper, and have a nice trip
It's easy dear.Go salwa rd along with abu samara rd.then saudi boarder.U will have little tough time with Saudi immigration. Time for driving saudi boarder.Be careful drive inside qatar less than 120 since everywhere Radar . After saudi boarder to Riyadh 6-7 hours. You can drive at any speed and there is no Radar.Since your family is their ,pl do not take any risk so drive @ 120 enough to reach their. In saudi Road signs are xcellant.do not worry you will never loose the way.happy driving and best of luck.
