Does anyone have Goa travel tips?

Hi there!

We're planning to catch up with some friends from Europe in Goa to celebrate Xmas en new year on the beach... since I've never been to India and I heard December is a busy time in Goa I'd like to prepare my trip beforehand.

Does anyone know a good travel agency in Doha that can help me put together a nice plan for our holiday? Basically, we want to 'have it all': a few days of partying, a few days of sightseeing (we'd love to see Hampi) and a few days of chilling out on a nice beach...

Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

okay Im indian so i should warn you about a couple of things. At parties or bars never accept drinks, a lot of times what happens is dope and rape.

You'll run into a lot of ppl offering services, selling drugs and all, tell them you're not interested.

if you spend Christmas there, the parties are great but full of RAVE so watch out.

Everything else should be ok, its a great place from what i hear.

The best two season 2 head out 2 Goa wud b b/w 21st of Dec up2 5th of Jan & den for its festival time which usually starts in March, try avoiding rainy seasons. And de best place 2 stay in Calangute, cos its rite in middle of Baga Beach & Anjuna. If u people r of de party type wher ur preference r rav & trance, v got a place in Anjuna beach called Hill-Top, pretty neat place 2 trip while de eva so green Tito's in Baga is a welcoming place 4 new-comers. Der r shacks on de beach side open frm 8:00 in de morning uptill 11 in de nite. (Due 2 sum resent issues, der is also time cuts, but if u r in 4 just partyin & havin a gud time, no worries). Also, der is de Wednesday Flee market (Sumthing u sudn't miss out) happens only on wednesday where u get 2 buy, bargain & deal in anything and everything frm lights, 2 clothes, slippers, handicrafts... And den de amazing Goa special, Goan Fish curry with white rice along with Goan fenny (Der r 2 types, cashew & coccnut). u can rent out rooms with big stared hotels or just take a walk down calangute and get a decent home (which wud b better so tht u can feel Goa all over). 4 site seeing, head down 2 Old Goa, where all de aged churches like Bom Jesus & St. Xavier church along with other arch. building can be a delight 2 c. if u r strong at wot u r doin, der is no worries.... ENJOY GOA... Its truly AMAZIN PLACE...

Qatar Airways has the facility and they have a decent good promotional tourism arrangements for India too. Ask the Qatar Airways Tours & Travel Toursim Department to give guidelines on the same trip which you had requested for.

I stayed at a resort called "Leela" a few years ago - quite nice, good rooms, clean. Down the road was a bar called the Old Anchor - good atmosphere. Enjoy!
