Good day! My friend and I are planning to go to Mesaieed one of these days. It will be our first time to go there and to see a desert. My question is: Should I be concerned with desert animals like rattlesnakes while strolling/running through the desert?

Grrrr!!! read my first comment: "Rattle snakes are native to North America"

In the Arabian desert we have Hooded Cobras and Horned Vipers that have a nasty bite. They are generally timid creatures that live in holes in the ground. They will avoid you if you avoid then - i.e. don't go poking sticks into holes!

There are scorpions too which tend to hide under rocks. Try not to pick up rocks, and if you must move a rock do it with your shod foot!

Make sure how far you go from the mainroad and also what time you wanted to go, as some members warn you about heat waves be carefull and also think of which vehicle you go.

If you "run" through the desert, you will die of a heart attack.

Rattlesnakes and other venomous snakes are possible in the desert but I dont think they are showing up in Mesaeed. Be careful if you are visiting at night time.

Rattle snakes are native to North America so you'll be OK here.
