Uploading Photos
Uploading Photos to share with friends, use it as a signature or in your articles is very helpful. Instead of sending those as an attachment, taking much time and effort to share it you can use any of the available websites that would help you doing so.
I’m not going to talk here about websites such as ‘Flicker, Facebook or Friendster’ because many use it to share photos with friends only within specific networks while the others seek privacy.
Sometimes you need to include the photos in an article and you will not use the photos hosted on your account as a click on any of those photos will redirect people to your whole photo albums.
Will talk today about how to use ‘http://imageshack.us/’, open your browser and paste this link there to access the home page of the website.
From the menu that has these items [upload, image, url, etc …] choose ‘upload’ then click on ‘browse’ then choose the photo that you want to upload.
If you will type an e-mail down there, a link of the photo would be sent to that e-mail.
Beside the ‘resize image’ there are many options [avatar, thumbnail, etc …] from the drop down list, if you will check this box then you would be able to apply that not unless you want to upload the photo with it’s actual size without resizing it.
The resolution of the photo as well as its size would be included within the uploaded photo, to remove that check the box next to ‘remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail?’
After you are done, click on host it and it will redirect you to another page that has different links to the photo. To include your photo in a forum [choosing the link would depend sometimes on the website you are trying to upload the photos to] choose one of those six links:
1- Thumbnail for Websites
2- Thumbnail for forums (1)
3- Thumbnail for forums (2)
4- Hotlink for forums (1)
5- Hotlink for forums (2)
6- Hotlink for Websites
For uploading the photos on QL included in the articles I’m using [No.6 'Hotlink for websites']
