star ferry, hongkong
This is a 'must do' with kiddies when you come to Hongkong. Star ferry is a passenger ferry, ferrying people commuting between Kowloon and Hongkong Island. Can't remember how much we paid ... i think just around 2 or 3 Hongkong Dollar per trip.

Again i would suggest you do the trip at least one during the day time and another during night time.
The Star Ferry operates on four routes: between Wanchai and Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsim Sha Tsui and Central, Central and Hung Hom, and Hung Hom and Wanchai. Service times and ticket prices vary with the different routes (against it cost nothing).

You can choose to go upper deck or lower deck during your travel with Star Ferry, my son love to go upper deck and sit in the front side of the ferry.

The history of Star Ferry :
The earliest report of a ferry service appeared in a local newspaper dated 28th December 1888: “Steam launch ‘Morning Star’ runs daily as a ferry boat between Pedders Wharf and Tsim Sha Tsui at the following hours (a 40 minutes to one hour service during all hours of the day). There will be no launch on Monday and Friday, on account of coaling."
