Hi Duncan!

I tried replying via PM but it says that you don't accept PMs.

I heard of the expats football, but I didn't go to watch the game. I've met a few people but no fellow scots. I've not found much interest either. I went back to Perth for a wedding etc between the 13th-23rd June, so I'm just back. I'll be here till Christmas but who knows if I'll come back after that... play it by ear.

Maybe the British Group is effecting response, not sure. I'm an Account Manager for an IT company called EOS Technologies. I moved over on my own. Got family back home, but not a wife or kids etc, too young for that yet!!

Hi John,

Thanks for your post, as you can tell I only set up recently and not much of a response, I have been here 9 months and to be honest have not found that much of interest. There are many of us scots here but not much organised amongst ourselves!
I recently found out that there is an International expat league, with teams from amongst others Scotland and England, and that Scotland beat England 6-1 last month, ( By all accounts this is the ' Big' one every year! there is also a burns night and St Andrews Ball, again I dont really know much about who organises or details! hence the web group.
I go to Garvies / Rugby Club in the main where there are many scots, I guess you have been there? its not the classiest of places, but then I am from Falkirk!

Anyway, hopefully I will see you around, feel free to post and encourage others, are you here alone or family with you? where are you working?
