Is there any point in film

Is film's "look" sufficiently different from digital for it to be a useful medium these days? I was trying out a Micro-Nikkor on a Nikon F today, and I felt that even the ordinary Fujicolor 100 delivered a rather distinctive look. Here is a large crop from one, showing the grain, and a scaled down version of the whole picture (yes, I know the flowers are bashed up, this shot was just a lens test):
Does that look different from digital or am I just fooling myself?
