Participate in QTA’s competition and win exciting prizes
As part of the World Tourism Day on 7 September, Qatar residents are urged to partake in the celebrations by exploring Qatar, clicking pictures and uploading them to social media. The global event celebrates tourism’s social, economic and cultural value, while raising awareness about the various ways it enriches the lives of people across the world.
Qatar Tourism Authority has launched a competition that started on 27 September and runs till 1 October, where eight life-size frames are placed around the country. In order to participate in this competition, residents have to click pictures through these frames and upload them to social media while including the running hashtags for the events - #WTD2016 and #ShowcaseQatar and tag Qatar Living's social accounts on twitter and Instagram. Winners will receive fantastic prizes including hotel stays.
The frames are located at the following spots: Museum of Islamic Arts, Katara Cultural Village, Aspire Zone, Richard Serra installation at Zekreet, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, Al Zubarah Fort, Souq Waqif and Imam Muhammad ibn Abd Al Wahhab Mosque.
All through the week, hotels and various tour operators will be offering great deals on meals, hotel stays, sight seeing trips and other activities in the country. The tour operators that will be offering discounted packages include Qatar International Adventure, Arabian Adventure, Gulf Adventure and Qatar Ventures.
