The International Consular Services Centre (ICSC) has opened at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center, according to the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) (DECC). This facility is being provided by the host nation for the first time in FIFA World Cup history.
HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the inauguration.
The ICSC will provide assistance to spectators at this year's World Cup, which will take place from November 20 to December 18, 2018. All 31 nations who qualified for the FIFA World Cup will be present at the ICSC, along with the nations with the greatest ticket sales. There will be more than 40 embassies in attendance.

On November 1st, the ICSC will be accessible to the general public. The DECC's Hall 4 houses it, and its regular business hours are 10 AM to 10 PM everyday.
The SC, the MOFA, the MOI, the embassies located around Qatar, and other significant national organizations worked closely together before the ICSC was established.
HE SC Secretary General Hassan Al Thawadi stated: "We are honored to introduce the first ICSC in FIFA World Cup history. The center will provide embassies with a centralized and convenient facility to address consular concerns affecting their supporters, as well as important connections to numerous national organizations.
The center offers a fresh approach to global cooperation for consular assistance during mega-events, serving as a model for next event planners. Most importantly, it is a tangible illustration of how the World Cup can unite people from all around the world under one roof.
HE The Department of Consular Affairs Director of MOFA, Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al Subaei, stated: "The ICSC will offer essential services for supporters throughout the 2017 World Cup. We are grateful to the SC and all of the embassies in Qatar for their crucial help in the establishment of this facility.
