These are a few of my favourite breakfasts...
As the weather has started to cool down and outdoor activities have become more of an option, why don’t you think about kick starting your weekend with an energy booster? I present to you my favorite breakfast joints across Doha.
Eggspectation
Are you obsessed with eggs as I am? If so then this is the place to visit as it’s sure to not disappoint! This place is great as it serves breakfast all day long. Yes that’s right, you can indulge in a fry up or any other favorite breakfast items all day long. I do love their selection of egg benedicts that are all served with scrumptious potatoes on the side. If you have a sweet tooth then their S’mores French toast will be one thing you wont want to miss as it’s stuffed with nutella goodness.
Pauls Café
This popular French café is located at three of Doha’s popular landmarks; Vilagio, Landmark and The Pearl. However, I suggest you visit the branch at the Pearl as it has an outdoor area overlooking the marina. I particularly like their selection of freshly baked pastries accompanied with a hot beverage. Nevertheless, you can also try their range of savory dishes prepared to your satisfaction.
Zaatar w Zeit, Souk Waqif
For an Arabic infused start to your day be sure to visit Zaatar w zeit at the Souk. This place serves a selection of Manakeesh, eggs, grilled halloumi, labneh and vegetable platters. Their food is fresh, light and reasonably priced. They also have a light menu for those who are keeping count of their calories.
Shakespeare and Co
Not sure what type of breakfast you fancy? This place offers a wide selection; from English, American, Lebanese to healthy. I love the fancy interior to this café. The food here is tasty and the portions are reasonable. Again I recommend the Pearl branch as the outdoor seating area overlooks the Marina.
