any of you had a personal experience with a police complaint that went to court, before a judge? what happened? what's the worse that can happen?

I dont think you need to worry.

i think the judge will just humour him for a while then just dismiss the case.

If you don't like preferential treatment given to the Qataris then you can always go home. Anyway the Qatari will swear on the Holy Koran when giving his evidence and that means he cannot lie.

Err, as I said. If you take an Arabic speaker and are VERY publicly apologetic you might avoid the above. Grovel, in other words. It has worked.

lol I didn't do anything. innocent until proven guilty, right?

the fact is some local, really smart and intelligent exponent of Homo Habilis accused me of giving him the finger. the fact is I didn't, but since I'm not local, nobody gives a sh*t about me or the truth. so, even if I apologized in the police station for something I didn't do, he decided to proceed with this charade. so in about 3 weeks we have to go to a judge. I'm aware that in a country where discrimination is stronger than human rights, I stand no chance. I just wanted to know what's the worse that can happen in this case.
