Damien Hirst’s Art of death, or just satanism?

So recently the Qatar Art institution has unveiled a collection of Artwork by London lad Damien Hirst.

The controversial art installation is a collection of 14 huge baby statues, titled, “Miraculous Journey”, and commissioned by Damien Hirst, that sure has got lots of people talking.

Intrigued by his work I decided to do a little probing into Hirst's life his artwork and background and gotta say bloke is odd to say the least even ...

I mean yeh I know he's a reputable artist back 'n the UK 'n all dat, BUT!

to me Hirst's work is of the most frikkin sickening things I have seen ever! kinda demonic,to say the least.

for example i was going through some of his work online and this frikking statue of a beheaded cow sinking in it's own blood and disgusting bugs flying all around EWW

The diamond-encrusted skull entitled "For the Love of God" has sold to an investment group for its full asking price of $100 million
and all these stuffed deformed beheaded and precised dead animals and the burnt girl from the Vietnam napalm...however the decomposed human bodies piece took the price as the most sickening piece of art you could ever see....for the brainwashed society types no?

This man who was was condemned for killing 9,000 butterflies in "Tate show", who uses f*cks with dead animals is now in Doha showcasing and making millions for his ( Halal version) of artwork.

wtf..

Art is subjective. He has made millions from his work, so good luck to him.

sure it's creepy. but it's also reflective of the real world, things that ARE there but we don't want to or refuse to see. like saying "hey sheltered urbane people, here's what's happening on the other side of the world, or even just the hidden parts in your own neighborhood."

looks like stuff nightmares are made of. i wonder what the sanitized halal pieces are. i only saw the picture of a fish in ads everywhere.

Gruesome images indeed.. the man has some devilish sense of art. Skin crawling and very sadistic!

LLR: I loved the giant fetus and babies sculptures though. quite inspiring. The rest of his work is rather intrusive. and in a very EWW! way.

NM:He probably has dead bodies in his backyard or something...total creep S:

Wired head: or "Halal nightmares", I should say :P

Not my taste.Nope, no..NO THANK YOU.

Given the choice, I would rather not see it.

Aren't they gonna put some fetus things in front of Sidra?

Oh...and an "anatomically correct/fully intact" statue of a baby boy? Or so I have read somewhere....
