Children should be taken to masjids only when the father feels the child will be sensible and could behave decently. It is only than they start understanding how to behave while they are in public. The age of 8yrs is a generally conception that children will be grown enough to understand things. I feel children should be encouraged to visit masjids so that they learn etiquette's fast.

my friend ,,, i'm a photographer too, i've been to few mosques to take some snaps (out of doha) n i've noticed that there is a path on the corner they have created with a soft fence which we can walk through, till the leader who leads the prayers, so what's on that if we visit during the prayers!

frez.joe, as you can see we stand shoulder to shoulder, there is no gap at all for a photographer to walk through and click pictures.

I guess Mr. Vincent Kessler should not enter the mosque during prayer time again. BTW which mosque this is with so much gap between two rows?

cute, but such small children should be avoided to Mosques, they will create nuisance for praying people, I have seen such many kids who will create problem during praying, as per the standard practice kids below 5 years should not be allowed.

True... It looks cute... but practically children below 8 should not be allowed to mosques.. Its always disturbance in your concentration.
