Why is it so difficult to find a maid?

Hi,

Been looking for a maid from quite a long. Tried to call those agents in the newspaper, but they refuse, cause i am a bachelor!!!

What is wrong here?? Who needs a maid more? A family or a bachelor??

Any comments ?

You are asking for the wrong thing

You need to advertise for a HOUSE BOY not a maid.

Alsboy,

I was in Kuwait and had an indian part time maid. She is been helping me for the past 11 years !

I work from 8.30 to 6 pm, why do YOU think I would need a maid?

After all these years being helped by that maid, likewise in Qatar i certainly would not be able to do many things she used to do for me, cleaning, ironing, washing, hanging clothes...etc

What else would i need a maid for ???

Advertise in the Gulf Times that you need a MALE cleaner!

Also, if the visa is rejected its probably either you don't earn enough or you have a husband that isn't working, they will reject that!

there are loads of young men from the sub-continent who clean homes, and do a very thorough job. They are much cheaper than the female maids because most families don't offer them work. You should post that you are looking for a male to clean you home and you may get a better response.

Ask your friends and colleagues if they know of someone looking for work. That is how I found my maid.

Well thanks to all, but i rather meant like a part time maid. Off course i would not let a maid live in , even if it was allowed.

I just need her like 2 times a week, 3 hours or so.

I am sure you can find a male maid. I use to have two of them, one who use to clean my car every alternate day and other guy use to clean the house and dishs for me.

Use to charge Qr.500/-

Usually, females staff is not allowed to work in Beachlours flats, just to avoid any issues that might rise...

You possibly need the maid more, than a family, especially if the wife isn't working, what does she do all day sit back and watch the Maid do everything for her..and the idea of being a mother isn't it the intent to actually care for children, ie not fob them off to a maid or a nanny... Maybe you should ask for a PA, instead of a maid and that way you can have any secretarial/administration work done also...
