Which area in Doha compares to Karama of Dubai?

Hello All,

I will be moving from Dubai to Qatar soon and just wanted to know which areas in Doha compare to Bur Dubai/Karama of Dubai. I have been living in Karama for over 5 years and absolutely love the place, especially in terms of proximity of everyday items like grocery, laundry, eat-outs etc.

Can someone please help me out in choosing a residential area in Doha similar to Karama?

Thank you!

We cannot compare Karama, Bur Dubai with Doha street. As you know Doha is something else. I think it is better to select Najma, Mansoura area for this purpose. Other areas are very difficult to find outlets for food and moving.

Hi,

Honestly there is no place in Doha which compares to Bur Dubai/Karama of Dubai in terms of flexibility of services like transport/super markets and restaurant.

Please like Al Mansoura/Al Hilal/Al Sadd/Old Airport are nice and good and calm locations for families.

Having your own transport is very much preferred since Bus Service just connects main junctions.

Eat out in Qatar is really difficult.. we dont have a single area for daily bachelor dining out like BD.

We have souq wafiq and many food chains surrounding ramanda signal for casual and weekend dining.

Doha is not so big as dubai, you can easily move anywhere if you have your own transport facility.
