I didn't know they were even employing any dyncorp employees here anymore. I work at both CAS and Al Udeid and dyncorp lost their contract at CAS earlier this year amidst a HUGE cost-cutting move by the DoD over here. Hopefully they have a more stable contract in place for you.
Anyway, from what I've heard, most of the dyncorp guys here lived in a compound called beverly hills gardens. They were bussed back n' forth to work. I've never been inside one of their apartments, but from what I've heard they weren't too bad.
DynCorp should be able to tell you exactly where you're living here. When you find out, post a question about that particular cmpd.
Schools are pretty good here, overall, but can be extremely expensive. The schools available to you will depend on his age. There's pre-school to high school available. Be more specific with what you need.
