Helo I am from India. One of my relative take care of my kids here in India. She is totally dependent on us. Is it possible to take her with us to Doha, Qatar? Whts the Visa provision for her?

If she is your relative there is a possiblity of obtaining visa as dependent but really it is more of a try rather then a sure thing.

Sorry for the hijack midinesh- but agree with JAck- you are not allowed to bring in any one as maid from your own country .

No. You cannot even bring anybody from India. No same country maid visa. You have to come here and then apply for a maid visa from a list of few selected countries (you could get a better idea from Dubai Govt website since the rules are similar).

Also both you and your wife have to be working to be allowed to sponsor.

I really dont understand the fuss about the fuss about a family with kids being unable to sponsor a maid from their own country.

If the Govt is paranoid that the maid may be allowed to work outside then so also its possible for the "other country" maid to be allowed to work outside.

Then there are also countless guys roaming all over Doha with "Free Visas" :P
