It is illegal because you need a mahram a legal guardian if you intend to marry someone as per sharia, it is easy if your boy friend can visit your country or you pay a visit to Egypt rather choosing a third country. If you are sure you can get marry here ask your boy friend send a visit visa, rest take care.

you say you both are muslims and you want to join him without a wedlock as a girl friend I presume you both are arabs, does your society allow to happen that? dear donot fall in such illegal relationship see that you marry the gentleman you love before you step in here.

He can only get you a visa if you are his wife and you can't live with him if you are his girlfriend.

You could look for a job so you are under company sponsorship

This applies to all religions
