New in Doha, looking for a compound accomodation .. I'd like a compound with some green and some space between the buildings ... Can you please tell me if Al Wakra is a good area, if it has good compounds and how long it takes by car to get to Doha (Najma area) ? Anyone who lives there?
And what about Al Rawda area?
Can you recommend me a good agent? Thankssss ....!!

Al Wakrah is a quiet area. It has a beach nearby being coastal town. There are lots of famous fast food restaurants like MacDonalds, KFC, Hardees, Pizza Hut, Dominoes and etc. There is a Medical Centre and banks. Basically you have all your basic amneties. I have a Villa (compound) for rent if you are interested.

for me ,wakra where am living now is very decent area.people are nice, less crowd,i can enjoy cycling, swimming in the wonderfull beach there,al meeera supermarket, pizza hut, kfc, all anything in doha are almost available there.if you bring familly in Qatar, then it will be perfect place for you.wakra - najma is not a big sacrifice when all facilities you need are there.by the way I have lived in najma area before for almost 2 years long. good luck..

Al Wakra is good to live in. Faster to get around then in the city. TRAFFIC LIGHTS THERE. 30 minutes to sealine. 10 minutes to Airport, 25 minutes to city center, 1 compound near the medical center 2 bedroom norm price is 7,000 but going to 6,000, one is stil being built behind the fort on the main road, there is also a new one next to the al Seer??/ shop center. It a good place to live and cheaper then town,

Wakrah is not as far as what people usually think... with the amount of time that you waste in traffic in downtown Doha, the distance to drive to Wakrah becomes insignificant as there is no traffic on that road... despite it being 10km from Doha main, its just about 10 to 15 minutes drive to the airport depending on which part of Wakrah you are in... but then depending on the traffic on the C ring road, you'll probably take anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes to reach Najma
