I prefer to go Karwa because 1st they will check your experience in driving,,then they will tell you how many days u required for the licence, if you have licence in your country....Other private schools you have to pay something to the trainers (tips) otherwise they will not take care of you until u pay that money...because its became habit made by other fellows. all the best...

Car number 7 from Al Rayhan Driving School asked my friend for "tips' to help her pass the test saying he has police friends. He once even touched my friend's leg and suggested for sexual favour helping her to pass.

When you schedule for a second test date if you fail, make sure you say it is a private sponsor (not company sponsor), otherwise you have to wait a month instead of 2 weeks for next test date.

Currently with Al Rayhan Driving School and failed in parking in my first test today which I did not know why. The car did not stoll, not knocking down anything and parked within white lines.

Talk about Al Rayhan is really bad, instructors are very un-professional. Generally we only get around 30 minutes lesson if you are lucky. The instructors constantly spit outside the window, listen to loud music, many don't speak to you at all, even if they talk to you, their English is quite difficult to understand, they are so impatient they even change the gear for you all the time.

Many of them ask for "tips" to assist you passing the test, one of my friends gave Q700 to pass his second test. The story I heard is, they often fail you the first test or second test, so that you need to take more lessons, the school can make more money. After a couple times trying you get so frustrated and you are willing to bribe them.

If Karwa is the best, there are a few queries here who has used Karwa before?

(1) Is there a waiting list for lessons, how long do you have to wait for lesson with Karwa?

(2) Are the instructors good (i.e. actually talk and teach you something, not constantly showing that they are bored or getting out of the car to talk to other instructors, stopping at roadside buying grocery ...)

(3) Does Karwa provide pick up drop off service to your home?

(4) How long do you have to wait for a test date? With Al Rayah, it is a month waiting.

Many thanks if you can help with my queries. I might need to think of changing school.

Dear friend,

all the schools are good, when you learn properly,

do what they said,

dont do by your own,

dont get afraid,

then you will get your license within 12 days,

its all depends upon the way you learn.

dont blame the school.

take karwa driving school, its the best... instructors are very professional, they have a theory lesson which other school dont have... and you have to pass only 3 test  (road sign, pocket parking, and road test) they dont have L parking there so you already skip 1 test...  I took  7 days course there...1 take only,,, PASSED!!!!

Where do you live. I suppose this is also a very important factor. The getting to and from driving school. I as a mother and the "taxi" am very happy that Khebra is just around the corner, so it only takes me max 10 min there and back. But still it is a hassle. Everyday! Khebra is good.

Al Khebra - highly recommended: instructors are not asking for money...compare to the other four mentioned.
