UK Emergency Passport
Hi, I have a UK Emergency Passport from the British Embassy here in Doha. I still have the expired British Passport also. The embassy say I need a "stamp" from Qatari Immigration in the emergency passport but my PRO having talked to immigration are adamant this is not required. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm thinking maybe some kind of stamp is required if you don't have the passport with the RP in it - however - I do. Would be grateful for any pointers or if anyone has been through this... Thanks,
Acadian/Joe90, thanks for this - it's what i thought and what my PRO are telling me after they spoke to immigration. It's the insistance of the British Embassy that a stamp from Qatari Immigration is required that threw me off. Possibly this is if you have lost the original passport with RP in it. Thanks again
Your RP is still valid even if your passport has expired.
So long as your RP is valid there should be no problem. Just present the old passport with the RP in it with the new one. Once you get your permanent passport have your PRO to get the visa in it.
