There is already some reduction in real estate rates now. May become lower in Jan/Feb-09. Afterall, when there is a financial crisis globally, the super-rich real estate owners would think about liquidity and thus land prices should settle at their NORMAL (usable) costs.
It would do no good to perk up the real estate prices here in Qatar, bleeding themselves when the global prices hit the rock bottom. In case they have the resources it would be better for them to invest the same in Western/developed shores for future benefits.
In short, let middle income persons as me anticipate lower realestate prices! for rent/survival only, please!
