Hi, I joined to a Qatar construction company site from 7th May 2011. I am nationality of Sri Lanka very new to Qatar. My work location is Ras Lafan.

Can I find a accomodation near to Ras lafan area? Also I want to find transport from my accomodation place to Ras lafan. If you can provide me the information it's a great help for me.

It would be difficult to find accomodation in Ras Lafan and it is a restricted area. Your best bet is to look for a place in Al Khor (about 30km away). Look around in supermarkets for notices or enquire with people if some one can give u a car lift. Again the transportation is difficult if you site is inside the Ras Laffan complex as you need special permits to enter.

Ask you company to atleast provide you the transportation, other cars may not be allowed to enter the Ras Laffan facility.
