It's definitely parking then. That's what it said on mine when i parked on a road with no markings in West Bay...no obstruction, just an opportunistic traffic warden. I'm assuming they're on commission per x amount of tickets they hand out!!
Basically, if you feel you need to pursue it...give it a go, but you have zero chance, so save yourself some time.
the statment of loading a vehicle is mostly written in english site of moi, check arabic site.and useless to go to traffic dept.unless you are sure that you were not driving at that time
Check the Arabic website of MOI. Take the help of someone who can read Arabic. You will find the actual reason for this fine.
" Loading a vehicle in a way that causes danger to people and properties", which appears in the English website is not exactly the one caused for the fine.
I wrote them an e-mail this morning but don't expect a reply!
The ticket says, " Loading a vehicle in a way that causes danger to people and properties". I am very sure I have never loaded my car in any such way, however the location and time match my records and I was actually there at that time.
I'm so confused. I will approach them in person with an arabic speaking colleague. Thanks for the replies. ANyone else had a similar situation, please share.
Go to one of the main traffic departments, and explain the situation. If it's for speeding, they will have a photo that you can request to see. If it's for parking, no chance! I've tried to challenge a parking fine, went with photos etc and got nowhere!
Good luck, worth a shot, but chances are against any kind of success.
If you are so sure then go to the Traffic Dept and challenge them on the spot.
However be sure "it was not you" and by the way if you don't speak arabic; getting somebody who speaks arabic to be a companion will help to "communicate" with the authority.
