british driving license is acceptable and eefective here its good as an internatinal driving license ..all you have to do is to go to traffic department and arrange for the light fees and docu.

thats right approach anybody who would like to give assistance to you and who knows how to speak arabic language

You can go to main traffic dept. with passport copy (valid visa page),

Dubai D/L, a no objection letter from your sponsor (who provided the visa -

sometimes its not required) 2 passport photos

When you enter the main traffic dept. you will find lot of sudanese nationals.

You can approach anyone (guys with ID hangin in their neck) and they will charge 100 QR as service charge to prepare applications/other papers etc.

You have to do eye test first. Afterwards, the sudanese guy will take you to the counter and get you the licence, which will cost 150QR.

All together, 2 hrs max.
