i've got a temporary driving licence, as i forgot to get an international driving licence. it lasts for as long as my tourist visa lasts - one month.

what you need:

passport and copy of passport (needs to be from one of the countries where you can get a visa on arrival)

driving licence and copy

Eye test (can be done onsite)

QAR 150

You can then get it extended once your visa is extended

read my lips guys: U get a temporary license after payment of QR 150/-, only if U hv a driver's license fm the following countries: USA, UK/Europe, Gulf. its only issued in lieu there off, till the time U get ur RP processed. once RP is issued, U can get the permenant one issued from madina khalifa traffic department rightaway after paying QR 250/-

It will take alot of time because you must have 25 days course at least or more , then make a test according the timing & dates of traffic department . that mean you want 2.5 month at least, and the coast is about 2200-3200QAR

Hi you dont have a licence from another country you will have to do the drivers test. This can take up to two months to achive and costs a few thousand QR you have to decide if it is worth spending this money there are some people who have not passed the test for several months

I never heard of a temporary driving license, all I know if you have a driving license from your own country you can make an international one there and drive with it here, until you get you permanent ID, then the international DL will no longer be usable...so you have to enter a driving school...

I hope I helped you!

Good luck!
