Hi, my husband has just stopped off in Dubai on his way to his new job in Doha. We have just chatted on skype but he told me that many websites including Skype are blocked in both Dubai and Doha because some of the content clashes with their beliefs/values etc. (he knew someone that managed to get around this, so were able to talk). Is he right???can you get on skype...i was relying on this to communicate with friends back home etc once we all arrive.

Alright silversurfer, so what did you think of our win? I'm off to Paris on Saturday to watch the semi. Do you fancy our chances there?

Well i don't have a problem with Aussies, i know some fantastic people from there. However i know many South Africans find them quite brash...i guess some of them can be a bit rude and full of themselves, some find their attitude quite similar to SOME Americans ( i know many fab Americans too before i get and ear full from all the Americans). They are pretty passionate about their sport, just the same as the kiwis are really.....although i don't think they live and breathe rugby as much as us. It is always alot of friendly jibes between Aussies and Kiwis's regarding sport especially over rugby and netball in particular...i guess we are always a bit sick of losing to them in particular. But at the end of the day it's only a game and the best team won on the day....My 8 year old son just said "It's not only a game it's the world cup"!! Joke going around NZ...hear about the new all black bra? All the support and no cup!!!....Whats the difference between viagra and Graeme henry? At least viagra will give you a semi!!! See us kiwis can have a laugh over it eventually!!!!And i would like to think we would never say that about you lot in England

Tell me, do Kiwis find Aussies chippy / mouthy / too much in your face where sport is concerned, or is it just the mother country who finds them that way?

I can't think that a New Zealander, and certainly not the Chief Egg. of the Rugby organisation, would say that they 'hate all English' and that they were going to 'knock them off'.

Love to hear what you think.

great news thanks for that. yep, the kiwis are in mourning today....i'm sure we will have a number of excuses though!!! and the coach will get the boot. So pleased to hear that Oz lost, thought that would make our chances better....can you imagine my shock when the boys in black lost to the bloody French. Any way the other half is South African....GO FIJI!!!IF SA win i'll never hear the end of it...once again!!!
