Hey all!! i'll be moving to doha in october/november!

i'll be moving from riyadh, does anyone know of any shipping companies that can ship my things from riyadh?

also, does anyone know if i need to have my residence permit or just a work visa to ship my stuff into qatar?

You can contact Carryward International, They will help you, for doing customs clearance in doha, you have to provide your passport entry stamp copy and one arabic letter from your company saying that, you are employed there and your work visa is under process. Then we can clear without any duty.
