Hi,

I will be shifting to Qatar in some time. I would like to know which areas i can look for rents, which are safe, quiet, have parks (as i have a small kid also).

Would appreciate a quick reply.

Cheers,

Saurabh

try al ghariya or al ruwais ~ safe, quiet and parking space is not a problem.

with kids depends on your choice more so related to activities for them ... in a compound you have pools gyms and kiddies areas .... in apartments not so much but can go to the park ... the beaches in doha are closed to the public so you will have to drive out for these....

i have been here for 2 weeks ...crickey we have learned lots already...

the important thing is that if you come here as a family you discuss amongst yourselves what you want to achieve and have near you or readily available to you ...Gharaffa is very nice and you have malls near by also ...

we are looking for a compound villa exactly because of the kids ... so they have plenty of distraction and can make friends easily ...

in the apartments people tend to mind their themselves.

Good luck with your move... its daunting but very exiting and once you are here you will like it very much so...

Its a lovely place where family values are still very important....

good luck
