Restrictions on Motorcycle art

I'm going to import my Harley here from the UAE. It has been customised with dragon and koi airbrush work. After i completed it the Dubai RTA started to ban pictures on vehicles. Are there any similar restrictions here in Qatar? Will I have problems importing the bike? It's a 2009 road king.

I don’t know the details of importing a bike into Qatar but I’ll find out soon enough, however I do know about the UAE and I’m assuming it’s similar.

1. If you are buying a second hand HD Tourer try and buy newer than 2009. That was when the new frame came out and it’s a much better ride. You’ll need to be buying less than 5 years old anyhow, because of insurance etc (is that the same in Qatar?)

2. Your right I couldn’t find many used Harleys here either, though Dubbizzle is a good source for the UAE.

3. Try looking at the States. Do not look at crash repairs though they are cheep, Bikes are much cheaper in the USA and because money is tight there are a lot for sale; but check on the import duty.

4. Ex-Police bikes are a really good deal. They are top spec technically and they come with the air-ride seat.

I had a personal message from someone with a question on sourcing a Harley.

1. There doesn't seem to be a direct way of answering on the system.

2. This is a public forum there to inform, I didn’t think the question was of a personal nature so I'm going to answer it publically, just in case it is useful to anyone else.

The question was on sourcing a second hand Road King or Electra.

I do

my suggestion to you is when ur going to register the bike, u might as well show the picture of the bike to the office so if they have any issues they can tell u there and then......but im not sure wether u will be restricted or not, becuz i dont think dragon pictures might be offending.....
