i have same situation here, i'm going to apply family visa for my step daughter 11 years.

is it possible or no what are the requirement they ask you?

i have no adoption or custody only legal letter from her father agree that i can become her sponsor and she can travel with me and stay with us. the letter is attested.

Don't worry...you don't need the blood type (blood group) for your daughter. Our son is 9 and definitely did not require one. We just got the form from the medical commission for him when my wife had her blood tests... That form just goes through the system without the need for any tests.

My Daughter is under 10 yrs old.

I want to know more about adoption certificate. The court has given my wife permission to take our daughter outside the UK and they will provide the paper work. It wouldn't not be an adoption certificate as she is already living with us but rather a custody would be granted to my wife (I beleive).

I also saw a solicitor here and he advised that I should sponsor my wife's (apply for her RP) and when she gets here she should sponsor our daughter (apply for her RP). Can it be done or do I have to apply for our daughter's RP considering the court would give my wife the custody of the child.

When you mention blood type certificate; is it something we should get from UK whilst they are there or does it have to be obtained from Qatar once they arrive. Where can we get this certificate.

My marriage and degree certificate is all attested.

I am aware that we can extend the visit visa but I have heard that once I apply for the RP I have to pay QR500 per person for transferring the status from visit to RP. Wouldn't it be better for me to apply for the Residance Visa so when they come we only have to do blood test and finger printing.

they will have to be in country as your wife will have to have the blood and xray tests followed by fingerprinting. Assuming your stepdaughter is under 18, all you will need for her is blood type certificate and as previously said, adoption paperwork. Of course you will need marragige certificate and passports. They can arrive on a visitor visa (from the airport on arrival) which you can extend for 1 month. If you havent got it done by then, they have to leave the country briefly (return trip to Bahrain is the cheapest). You cannot apply for their RP's until yours is complete, then it should be fairly plain sailing achieveable within a month.

If you want to get them in Qatar at earliest then let them come on arrival visa ( one month ) which can be extended another month . You can apply for them while they are here and can convert thier visit to RP status once you get approval from authorities .....
